Attorney Jonathan Shaw Wins Asylum Case
Attorney Jonathan Shaw had a notable victory today in Immigration Court. In a “reasonable fear review” he was able to convince the immigration judge to vacate a negative finding from an asylum officer and to allow his client to remain in the country. This is significant because it appears that the client can now qualify for Obama’s Executive Action program DAPA. The woman’s father brought her to the USA when she was a young child. She had three children and lived her entire life in the USA. Her father passed away in Guatemala and she went to visit his grave site and give her final farewell. On her way back she was caught at the border. Now she has a chance to stay in what is her country, the USA.
El abogado Jonathan Shaw tuvo una victoria notable hoy en la corte de inmigración. En una audiencia para “miedo razonable” él pudo convencer a la juez de inmigración que pusiera a un lado la decisión del oficial de asilo político y que dejara a su cliente en este país. Esto es significante porque parece que la persona califica para aplicar bajo el nuevo programa de Acción Ejecutiva DAPA. El padre de la mujer la trajo de niña y ella vivió toda su vida en estados unidos. Tuvo tres niños ciudadanos aquí. Su padre murió en Guatemala y ella había ido a visitar su tumba para despedirse. La encontraron en la frontera de regreso. Ahora tiene una oportunidad de quedarse en su país, estados unidos.
