BIOGRAPHY

Laura Hernandez defends the rights of immigrants both in immigration court and throughout their immigration processes with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services offices. Laura passionately believes in the rights of immigrants, and competent and zealous advocacy of members of the immigrant community.

Laura earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Prior to attending law school, Laura earned a B.A. in Global Affairs and with a minor in French; there she gained a deep understanding of political, social, economic, and cultural global issues.

Laura volunteers as a pro bono attorney for the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network and the Colorado Asylum Center.

Laura was born in the Dominican Republic and emigrated to the United States in 2005. Laura uses her unique education and experience to emphatically represent immigrants in a wide variety of immigration cases, from defensive and affirmative asylum to naturalization.
